The Spruce Pine Lodge on Nov. 23rd, in Durham, NC
As hoped by Tom and the many who helped make it happen, the Memorial and Celebration of Janice’s life was a beautiful assembly of friends and family for some quiet time at a cabin in the woods.
We kept the formality to a minimum and did not keep a strict schedule, but the Program (click for a copy) . Old friends were reunited and people who had never met got to share stories.

Starting soon after 1:00, some close friends and family members spoke. A video of this is available on request, just ask Tom via his personal email or webmaster@janice.jonestransue.net .
Celebration of Life
2:00 to 6:00 – Open time in which all friends and family members casually remembered Janice together. Light food, water, soft drinks, beer, and wine were provided. The weather and setting were perfect. Special thanks to Richard as well as Robert, Kim, Steve, Pete, Guy, and Nancy for all their help!
At about 5:00 – Tom invited anyone who wished to say a few words to do so, expressing a sentiment or telling a story. Several groups and individuals said some nice things. Thank you all for sharing and listening.
