Janice was the Queen of the EK Powe Auction! She and I ran the auction for a few years and Janice was a force of energy. She was the brains and the workhorse of the operation. She came up with the pairings of items and funny descriptions that went with the bid items, printed the bid sheets and set up and supervised and ran the entire event. Not sure how many hours she worked on this over the years but was in the 100s. We raised over $50K for the school over the years. She was a community builder and passionately believed in supporting institutions with both her time, energy and money. Mostly she made it fun. We are all the poorer with her loss.
